**Help Haiti** There is a display in the bank lobby about a program that provides immediate shelter & supplies for disaster victims. Donations are tax deductible. You can make your check payable to SHELTERBOX USA and give to Cassandra. As of February 2nd, the Nebraska ShelterBox program has raised $40,000 for Haiti relief!!!!
February 9th: LLL Soup Supper @ St. Paul Lutheran Church from 5:00-7:00. Free will donation.
February 10th: Ambassador's meeting @ Pizza Hut. Noon.
February 11th: Promotions Committee meeting @ Fire Hall 8:00am (public is welcomed to attend).
February 16h: (yes, this one is on a Tuesday) Chamber Luncheon @ TBA. Noon & open to the public. This will be the first of luncheons to be held quarterly.
February 16th: Heartwell Lions Club Mountain Oyster Feed @ Heartwell Community Center from 5:00-7:30. Adults $10, kids (12 & under $5).
February 18-20: State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha. Good luck area wrestlers!!
February 20th: TREO's farewell concert @ MOH. 7:30. $15.
February 28th: Cancer Survivor Tea @ Bethany Home. 2:00 In order to show our appreciation for all cancer survivors, their caregivers and family, the Relay for Life of Kearney County will be hosting a Survivor Tea at Bethany Home starting at 2:00pm. Drinks and cookies will be provided.
Additional information about the American Cancer Society & the Relay for Life of Kearney County will also be available.
February 28th: Branson on the Road @ MOH. 3:00 A variety show from Branson with three fantastic performers. They will wow you with their routine of music and comedy. Come enjoy America's Favorite Road Show, that has been to places such as The Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, Las Vegas, Europe and more!
March: Mayor's Breakfast 7:30am @ Fire Hall. FREE FOOD. Learn about community events/issues.
March 5-7, 12-14 & 19-20: "The Wizard of Oz" @ MOH. Friday & Saturday shows are at 7:30. Sunday shows are at 2:30. There will be a special SATURDAY matinee on March 13th at 2:30 as well. Tickets to this timeless classic are only $15 and can be purchased by calling 308-832-0588 or by going to www.pickmytickets.com.
